Oliver Bentleys, Ltd hand-bakes, in small batches, all organic (human grade) ingredient, premium dog treats called Ollie B. BiscuitsTM in Savannah, Georgia. Ollie B. BiscuitsTM come in a unique artisan shape, made from a special recipe, and tastefully packaged in attractive tins.
Our company mission statement is simple: To make more dog tails wag more oftenTM.
From the beginning, the founder sought to create dog treats with nothing but the highest quality all-natural, organic, ingredients and to package them in such a way as to give dog owners a reason to keep their dog treats on the counter, in the open, next to the human cookie jar and spices.
At the core of what Oliver Bentleys, Ltd stands for is the unyielding position that; every ingredient must serve a positive nutritional purpose; the shape and texture of the treat must have a hygienic utility; and above all the Ollie B. BiscuitsTM must be tasty and fun for all dogs.
For two years, the founder researched the nutritional benefits of ingredients. He rigorously taste tested recipes with a focus group of Savannah dogs both, big (Bernese Mountain Dogs, Labs, Golden’s, mixed breeds, and shelter dogs) and small (Pugs, Miniature Yorkies, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, small mixed breeds, and shelter dogs) until he found the perfect mix of nutritionally beneficial ingredients in a recipe with a taste dogs would crave.
Through this exhaustive process the Ollie B. Biscuit and the original recipe, Honey-Ginger, was born (or reborn in the old-world sea faring tradition from which the original Ollie B. Biscuit (circa 1658-1660) came - see Origin of the Ollie B. Biscuit below).
We at Oliver Bentleys, Ltd believe because our dogs give us their best every day we should want nothing but the best for them in return. We asked ourselves, "If they were giving us a treat, what would they do?" The answer to that question was simple. We know they would give us only the very best.
With this in mind, and thoughtfully taking into account what is best for the canine digestive system and diet we make our Ollie B. BiscuitsTM 100% gluten free with no wheat, corn, or soy. They have no added salt or sugar and never, ever, any additives, preservatives or fillers. Ollie B. Biscuits are high in protein and have almost half the crude fat of most other treats. The original recipe is completely meat and meat by-product free.
We at Oliver Bentleys have our dogs with us at work, at home, and at play. We will never compromise in the position that Ollie B. Biscuits must be pure natural goodness from only the highest quality ingredients available.
From the chair-pup and company mascot himself, Ollie B. and his bodyguard Makers Mark (black Lab) they would like to add one thing; "Rrrrruufffff, ruff, ruff!"
We think that is dog’esse for: "Ollie B. Biscuits - Dog treats to bark home aboutTM " or maybe it’s just "Hey, are you done on the computer yet? We feel like a walk down Bull Street to Forsyth Park to play fetch!"

The Origin of the Ollie B. Biscuit
May 29, 1660, King Charles II, after eleven years in exile, regains his throne as the King of England, Scotland and Ireland. Upon returning to the throne, Charles hands down a royal decree that no King Charles Spaniel may be denied access to enter any place of commerce, including Parliament the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The annals of time give no specific explanation for the monarchy bestowing such a high level of prominence and position to one breed of dog, until now.
Previously lost in the backwaters and tidal creeks just outside the new world city of Savannah, Georgia a small and unassuming ship captain’s chest was found. In it, among the captain’s personal effects, was his ship’s log and personal diary. The log and diary were wrapped in a tattered piece of cloth of a unique and striking plaid pattern and curiously accompanied by a seaman’s daily ration or what was called hardtack, or a sea biscuit. The biscuit had a small paw print pressed into it. Between the pages of the captain’s log and diary was a small cameo carving of a dog bust and a smaller equally weathered swatch of the same plaid, on herringbone fabric, with which the items had been bundled.
Both the cameo and the plaid swatch marking the page beginning a series of entries chronicling how a small King Charles Spaniel named Oliver Bentley, referred to in the diary and log as Ollie B. and at times just Ollie, during an ill-fated voyage at sea saved the life of the then exiled young
King of England, Charles II. The entries make clear that in so doing the young pup, Ollie B., in fact saved the monarchy and rightful heir to the throne.
How and why Ollie B. did what he did to save his King is chronicled in the Captain’s Journal. The sailor’s daily ration or what the journal refers to specifically as the Ollie B. Biscuit plays a central role in the tale.
Today, we have recreated the Ollie B. Biscuit. As was the case all those centuries ago these treats are all natural. In those days everything was made from all organic ingredients with no additives, preservatives or fillers - they just didn’t exist in Ollie B.’s time. And so, our Ollie B. Biscuits are hand-made in small batches using all organic ingredients. These treats are FREE of wheat, corn, and soy with no added salt or sugar. Ollie B. Biscuits are also 100% gluten free. These treats are good for our loyal dog companions and can be eaten by their owners as well. They did save the King after all.
